This is a 1962 photo of teh one-time store, post office, and dance hall on the Lewiston Road in Gray. At the time of the photograph, the building had been condemned by the State Arson Division as a fire hazard. The dance hall in the building was located in the rear and had an orchestra stall along one wall. The floor was suspended on rubber bumpers to soften the dance steps of those attending.
At one time, the building was known as St. Clara’s Hall.
